Hating Goodbyes

Well, it's my last week of school....a time I've been not looking forward to since the fall. I think I'm the only college student not wanting school to end... The reason I'm so upset is because Eddie is moving to Florida with my roommate. Any pet owner would know, it's very hard to have your days and nights revolve around them, and then to suddenly have them completely out of your life. It's a lost feeling that's simply hard to put into words. I know Eddie is going to enjoy life in the Sunshine State, but I sure will miss him.

He made me smile when I was sad,

He made me laugh when I felt bad.

He's leaving me now for places new,

I love you Eddie, and I'll miss you...

Maurice Sendak

I was so upset to hear the passing of Maurice Sendak this morning...his work happens to be with some of my favorite childhood memories. I still remember watching the VHS of both "Chicken Soup with Rice" and "In the Night Kitchen" with my brother. My brother tugging around "Where the Wild Things" are everyday, and myself seeing his illustrations for "Little Bear" in some of my favorite books (huge Little Bear fan here).

Luckily, I don't think his work will be leaving bookshelves anytime soon. I think his stories will still be shared for generations to come.

Hello! Ciao miei amiche!

I'm still here, and not sure where the month of April went....I had a nice spring break and pretty much got an entire new spring wardrobe in the process. :) This always makes a fashion girl happy....

I've been busy helping my best friend get her senior design collection ready, and I'm so excited for her to finally show it this weekend! I will be sure to post pictures so you can admire it!

Eddie turned one this Saturday, although the poor lil guy wasn't feeling too well, he's back to being his crazy self and still awaiting that promised special birthday cookie...

I apologize for the lack of posting in the past 2 weeks..I've been splitting my time between loads of school work, my internship and enjoying the beautiful weather at the dog park. :)

If you haven't, please take a half hour of your time to watch this amazing documentary on who Joseph Kony is, and what he is doing. It is amazing what people can do once they are aware of something, and this case...awareness is crucial to stop the madness. If this video doesn't inspire you to take part in this change, I don't know what will.
